National Sports University Manipur Recruitment 2024: National Sports University, Imphal, Manipur invites application from the eligible candidates for engagement of Guest Faculty in National Sports University, Imphal, for the filling up of 4 (four) positions purely on a temporary basis for a period of Six (6) months initially and likely to be extended further the period of engagement on a need basis as detailed below. The engagement shall be strictly on a ‘per lecture/ period basis. Details of the recruitment are as follows:

Guest Faculty:
  • Sports Nutrition: 01 Post
  • Boxing: 01 Post
  • Athletics: 01 Post
  • Sports Physiotherapy: 01 Post
Essential Qualifications:
1. For Guest Faculty (Sports Nutrition):
  • A Master‘s degree with 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever the grading system is followed) in a concerned/ relevant/ allied subject from an Indian University or an equivalent degree from an accredited Foreign University.
  • Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC or the CSIR, or a similar test accredited by the UGC, like SLET/ SET, or who are or have been awarded a Ph. D. Degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of M.Phil./ Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009 or 2016 and their amendments from time to time as the case may be exempted from
    NET/ SLET/ SET.
Note:

NET/ SLET/ SET shall also not be required for such Masters Programmes in disciplines for which NET/ SLET/ SET is not conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC, like SLET/SET

2. For Guest Faculty (Boxing & Athletics):
  • M. Sc. Sports Coaching in the concerned sports disciplines from an Indian University or an equivalent degree from an accredited Foreign University.
    OR
    A Master ‘s degree with 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever the grading system is followed) in Physical Education with Diploma in the
    concerned sports disciplines from an Indian University or an equivalent diploma and degree from an accredited Foreign University.
2. For Guest Faculty (Sports Physiotherapy):
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Physiotherapy (B.P./T./B. Th./P./B.P.Th.), Master’s Degree in Physiotherapy (M.&P.Th /M.Th.P./ M.Sc.P.T/ M.P.T.) with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever the grading system is followed) from a recognized University.

Mode of Selection: Based on Interview.

Honorarium:
  • The honorarium shall be Rs. 1,500/- per lecture/period, subject to a maximum of Rs. 50,000/- per month.

Application Fee:
  • The application must be accompanied by a non-refundable processing fee of Rs.500/-for GENERAL, EWS and OBC candidates and Rs. 250/- for SC/ST candidates. The transaction slip for the fee deposit must be enclosed with the application form.
